Los Roques Scientific
Foundation
Occupying two of the islands in the Los
Rogues group of islands, the Biology Research
Station Marina jointly managed by Federal
Dependencies of Venezuela and Fundación
Científica Los Roques was built in 1976.
This station located on the two islands, also
known as “Dos Mesquises”, has ‘Adopt a
Turtle’ as one of their projects.

On the small island of Rasqui there is an island
chalet with a couple of rooms available to be
rented. Staying in this chalet will probably be
the closest you will ever come to living on a
deserted island. It offers an experience which is
quite unique.

Often referred to as ‘Heaven on Earth’ by
