TRÈFLE DESIGNS
Tortola, BVI
My first love is sewing and I’m a third generation seamstress turned fashion designer. My
grandmother and mother taught me how to sew and with my upbringing of growing up
on the western end of Tortola, I always had family around me and I enjoyed every summer
making clothes, accessories and even school uniforms for myself and others.
Throughout my high school years, I focused a lot on Clothing & Textiles, Music and Art
which lead me directly into studying Fashion Design & Marketing at the then International
Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, Fl. After interning with Carolina Herrera and
BCBG in the spring of 2006, I worked as an assistant buyer for a family owned company
called Bealls Outlet then relocated back to my home in the BVI in 2007. Being creative and
taking on challenges has always been a passion of mine and I love to work with my hands
so in 2008, I decided to launch my own company.
The company name Trèfle has a very close meaning and is French for “Clover”, which is the
name of my late grandmother. I am now going into my 10th anniversary next year(2018)
and I’m thrilled about the projects, collection and opportunities that have been granted to
me thus far.
