Honey Jam Barbados Inc (HJ)
This is a multi-genre multi-cultural female artist
showcase based on Honey Jam Canada (established
for 22 years), which boasts Nelly Furtado as their
most famous alumna. HJ was launched in Barbados
in February 2011. It is a platform for young women to
gain exposure, education, mentoring and networking
opportunities in the music industry and arts community.
Along with producing artist workshops and showcases, HJ also
promotes other initiatives for women, women’s charities and
offers opportunities to female entrepreneu rs. After artists take
part in the programme, they remain part of the sorority and
continue to receive support and opportunities.
