Award-winning Director Michael Mooleedhar “ I think at my core I am an explorer of life and seek to reproduce my findings on the big screen.” Winner of the Carmichael Award for Exceptional Story-telling at the Barbados Film Festival 2018. The winning film was based on the Caribbean classic novel, Green Days by the River, by Trinidadian author, Michael Anthony. About Michael Mooledhar. . . I hail from Trinidad and Tobago, where I have lived most of my life but I have had the opportunity to travel and see the world, reaching as far as India, London, Switzerland and the USA to name a few, and also showcase my work. My world perspective is thus influenced by my Caribbean space and constant reach to create films on a world standard. I got my first degree from the University of the West Indies (UWI), BA in Film Production and an MA in Creative Design Entrepreneurship. I am currently pursuing an MA in International Film Business at University of Exeter and London Film School. I have always been a person who finds great joy in creating rather than being in a standard 8-4 work setting. Film is a very challenging medium to work in and because of that it forces you as an entrepreneur to develop just to get the opportunity to make a movie. I think at my core I am an explorer of life and seek to reproduce my findings on the big screen. ” “ . . . This film seeks to break new ground in Caribbean film-making, showcasing the rich talent and boundless promise of our people.” ~ Barbados Independent Film Festival
