Hike to
Paria Bay and Paria Waterfall
There are several hiking routes on the northern coast of the island, but perhaps one of the
most interesting is one which includes what has become known as the Bamboo Cathedral.
Although the location itself is cause enough to take out a camera, most visitors will also be
able to take pictures of the many capuchin monkeys that play in the surrounding trees.
One of the best beaches in Trinidad is at Paria Bay but it can only be reached by a two hour hike
starting from the end of the North Coast Road. Those who did not find the hike to the bay to be too
challenging, they may want to detour on their way back to see Turtle Rock and Paria Waterfalls.
