St. Eustatius National Parks (STENAPA)

The island has a total of 3 national parks, Quill/Boven National Park, St. Eustatius National Marine
Park and the Miriam C. Schmidt Botanical Garden. Visitors are welcome but a permit must be
purchased. Information relating to the different trails or activities available in the parks can be found
at the STENAPA office, at the airport or at many of the hotel reception areas.
Archaeological Sites
The thriving St Eustatius Center for Archaeological Research (SECAR) protects as many as 600
different archeological sites on the island. The organization welcome involvement in their work on
various levels so if your interest lies in archaeology you can contact them for information about the
ways you can get involved.
