Bay of St Jean ( Baie de St-Jean)
Baie de St-Jean is not secluded, quiet nor peaceful and it is known for its parties and close
proximity to the island’s airport. Although the turquoise waters at this beach entice visitors
to rent jet-skis or boats, most prefer to just relax on the sand with a well-made exotic cocktail
and enjoy whatever entertainment the nearby beach bar may offer.
PlaceS of Interest
Grande Saline Beach
With a backdrop of dunes covered in grass and green hills, Grande Saline Beach is undeveloped except
for a few cottages dotted among the cacti and hills. This makes this beach very secluded and as a result,
nudists often come here as seclusion is guaranteed. The beach itself is peppered with boulders but it
does have very appealing shallow, rocky inlets.
