my health and wellbeing
career by completing an HND
Health Therapies & Sports
Fitness in 2003 and my BSc
Health Promotion in 2004. Over
the past 15 years, I worked
in a variety of settings from
exercise-fitness and massage
therapy to health and wellbeing
project management.
About the services offered
at the Spa. DaWay To
FitnesSpa’s all-inclusive service
offers exercise technique clinics,
that is, personal fitness training,
small group training, yoga
and fitness, trail hikes, healthy
heart workshops, remedial and
therapeutic body massages,
cleansing facials, foot spa and
nail care services. And,
a healthy Spa Breakfast
Club that serves local
teas, detox spa drinks,
infused water (using
local fruits and herbal
plants), smoothies,
organic wines, cheese
and crackers and other
health tasting delights. the organic, locally sourced
products and extracts that
we use and our philosophy of
giving back. This relates to my
slogan “promoting a culture of
wellness” – a cultural expression
that reflects indigenous
community and all that it has
to offer to produce a healthier
lifestyle.
About the DaWay To
FitnesSpa experience. About her personal
fitness regimen. My
DaWay To FitnesSpa is located
at the Vue Pointe Hotel on the
southern side of the island. The
vivacity and energy through
movement are key parts of a
great massage experience. personal fitness regimen is not
the typical approach of just
exercise as one would expect.
It’s actually a holistic regimen
that’s extremely essential for a
balanced lifestyle. Don’t get me
wrong, it is a work in progress
each day that includes eating
healthy; taking time out to
spiritually mediate daily which
could include a reflection
of my day and how I could
personally improve on the areas
reflected on; connect with close
friends, family and loved ones;
and partake in some form of
physical activity for at least 20
minutes per day.
The manipulation of the
techniques and the movements
of the therapists’ hands and the
tropical surroundings provide
the necessary rhythm to free
one’s mind and body which
of course is paramount to a
healthy existence and which
makes it is an attractive place
for a destination spa. The core
