Cerro El Copey National Park The Cerro El Copey National Park is located in the island’s state of Nueva Esparta which was made a National Park in 1974 to protect the island’s natural water sources. Reaching heights of 930 meters above sea level, the park consists of steep-sided valleys and has its own unique ecosystem. With plenty of palm trees offering shade, the long, white sand of Guacuco Beach is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the cool breeze after swimming or surfing in the Caribbean Sea.
