Cerro El Copey National Park
The Cerro El Copey National Park is located in the island’s state
of Nueva Esparta which was made a National Park in 1974 to
protect the island’s natural water sources. Reaching heights of
930 meters above sea level, the park consists of steep-sided
valleys and has its own unique ecosystem.
With plenty of palm trees offering shade, the long, white sand of
Guacuco Beach is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the cool breeze
after swimming or surfing in the Caribbean Sea. If you spend an entire
day here, you can sample the local cuisine at one of the beach side
restaurants to fulfill a complete day of memorable activities.
