Cap-Haitien on Haiti’s north coast, is
the second largest city in Haiti after
Port-au-Prince, and it known to have
some of the best Creole eateries in
the country. It was at one time a very
important city, being integral to the
country’s trading activities. Its French
colonial architecture is undeniably
impressive - many may have seen
the Cathedral in photos of Haiti.
When visiting Cap-Haitien, there
are beaches nearby that you can
resort to for a period of relaxation
after eating your fill of delicious
Creole food served in the popular
restaurants in this city. Enjoying a
local beer or a drink of Haiti’s popular
Barbancourt rum in one of the bars
while being entertained by live music
can also be a pleasant experience.
