Carnival
This festive event precedes the Catholic Lenten
period. It is marked by music, parades, pageants,
competitions, costumed masqueraders, food, drink
and revelry. It all culminates with a grand parade
through Kralendijk, held on the Sunday before Ash
Wednesday. It is an enjoyable time for both adults
and children.
