Calabash
Bistro
C
alabash Bistro brings the
Caribbean to Vancouver. For
those who are familiar with
that region, Calabash’s cuisine
is reminiscent of coconut trees that line the
beaches of sun-splashed shores and island
spices wafting through the air from colourful
open-air markets.
You will detect the subtle taste of many
islands in each dish and after a meal here,
you will leave with delicious culinary
memories. Flavour in every bite! And, there’s
music. Downstairs in their cozy lounge, you’ll
be transported to the Caribbean and beyond,
as musicians showcase their talent, to the
delight of patrons. Food, music and, did I
mention art? Yes, an eclectic range of art line
its walls. That’s Calabash Bistro.
If you’re in Vancouver this January, an
interactive culinary event will be taking place
here. As part of the Dine Out Vancouver
Festival to be held January 19th to February
4th, Quik Tings will be taking you into
Calabash’s kitchen for a special cooking
session with Chef Cullin. It will be a fun event
with entertainment, giveaways and of course
delicous Caribbean-themed food.
