Her musical journey From as early as four years, Ludwina's father, Dr. Hubert Fulford, recognized that Ludwina, like him, not only had a musical talent, but she enjoyed singing. Ludwina would use his sound tracks to practise songs and often embraced any opportunity she got to sing on the Aunt Marge's Children's Show on local Radio Turks and Caicos. With the support of her former Math teacher, Miss Arlene Smith, Ludwina spent an entire summer doing voice training in Trinidad, with Ms. Berndette Roberts in 1999. Her love for God, and passion for singing, inspired her to audition for the Oral Roberts University Chapel Choir and Soul’s A’Fire Choir. It was during those years of regular training and ongoing appearances that Ludwina's musical talent blossomed. It was there that the Holy Spirit planted the idea of cutting her CD. This she vigorously pursued, and in 2008, she travelled to Nashville, Tennessee, USA, and produced her CD, 'Rain on Me', the title of one of her original songs. Ludwina enjoys singing at local functions, including weddings and funerals. Her all- time favorite song While there are a number of songs that resonate with Ludwina, her all time favourite song is ‘What a Friend we Have in Jesus’. This song is a song of assurance. It has been a source of strength and comfort for her over the years. It has taken her through some of her lowest moments and has been a reminder that no matter what comes her way God is always in control. He is the friend that sticks closer than anyone else ever would. Her other interests A community spirited individual, Ludwina willingly promotes and supports community projects. She was a two-term President of the Rotaract Club of Grand Turk and served in other capacities for a period of eight years. She currently serves as a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Turk. Ludwina has a deep passion for floral design. She developed this interest from a very young age as she would often pick local flowers, especially bougainvillea and hibiscus, and present them to persons whom she loved, especially her maternal and paternal grandmothers. As she grew, she became more fascinated with flowers. She eventually turned this hobby into a business venture and opened her floral shop, Any Occasion in February 2009. She attended the Phil Rulloda School of Floral Design, California, under the direction of renown Phil Rulloda. There she gained much hands-on experience and improved her skills in floral design. Ludwina has recently taken on the hobby of sewing. She has been actively involved in the Grand Turk Methodist Church where she served as Youth Club President for a number of years. She is currently the Coordinator of the Organization and Education Committee and also sings on the church's Praise Team and Senior Choir. Trransitioning from a position in Banking at Scotiabank to the Director of Culture, Turks and Caicos Islands Government, Ludwina is grateful to God for His blessings on her life. She is thankful for the love and support of family and friends and her various group affiliates. She expresses, with fondness, her sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the Turks and Caicos Islands Government for providing the financial support for her to advance academically and professionally.
