About his St . Lucia
My St . Lucia is very idyllic . I head deep south to find my balance as often as possible , which happens to be every weekend . The entire island is a huge botanical garden with dream like vistas that meet you at every corner , the capital of Castries being no exception . There ’ s nothing like driving through one quaint village after the other and experiencing the richest tapestry of life and color than you ’ ve ever seen .
My week days are spent at my family ’ s business Eudovic Art Studio which is located in the capital , Castries . On Friday nights you can find me in Gros Islet for the best grilled fish in the world or chilling by one of our many beaches , sipping on something refreshing . I get my fresh ocean fish in Dennery Village every Saturday and I ’ m always in Choiseul ( arguably the most breathtaking part of the island ), every Sunday .
St . Lucia has a bit of everything for everybody . For adventure seekers I recommend a trek up the pitons the safer one being Gros Piton ( translation : big Piton ) or scuba diving , snorkeling , horseback riding at Grande Anse amongst many other fun adventure things to do . For the best seafood against a wild party setting I recommend , Gros Islet Friday fish festival and street fete , Anse la Raye fish Friday and Dennery Village fish Saturday .
The month of October , creole month , is absolutely amazing . It has become my favorite month . If you want a departure from the ordinary and want to experience authentic St . Lucian culture and cuisine which culminates in an island wide celebration , then October is the month for you .
However , the island now has a perennial festival calendar so just about every month holds something hugely exciting , ranging from the internationally famous St . Lucia Jazz Festival , St . Lucia Carnival and the list goes on . I ’ m trying my best to not sound like a tourism commercial but you can ’ t go wrong in St . Lucia any time of the year .
