Castillo San Felipe del Morro
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this 16th century citadel was
built to protect and defend San Juan against enemies attacking
from the sea. It is Puerto Rico’s main tourist attraction, boasting
over 2 million visitors per year. This site has now re-opened to the
public, after the island was battered by Hurricane Maria, welcoming
visitors once more, to continue explorations of this magnificent
history-filled fortress.
