When you decide to come to Montserrat, there are a few things you have to do:
HIKE TO RENDEZVOUS BAY
Rendezvous is the only white sand beach on the
island of Montserrat.
DRINK FROM RUNAWAY GHAUT
The locals say once you drink the fresh spring
water from the Runaway Ghaut you will forever
feel the need to return to Montserrat.
VISIT OUR MODERN DAY POMPEII
In 1995 the Soufrière Hills erupted which divested
the northern side of the island. Today the ruins of
the disaster, otherwise known as our modern day
Pompeii can be viewed via helicopter, boat tour or
car. This site is truly riveting. To see infrastructures
completely covered in ash, knowing that you are
standing where the chaos occurred, gives you a
sense of gratitude and remorse.
