Carnival Street Parade
Montserrat’s carnival celebrations, held in
mid-December, culminates on January 1
with a festive, music-filled street parade.
Carnival is an extra special event as it
happens during the Christmas season,
during which time many people who moved
overseas after the volcano, return to the
island to visit relatives.

St. Partick’s Day Holiday
Celebrations
Celebrations take place over a period of
one week. This is the only country, outside
of Ireland, where St. Patrick’s Day is a public
holiday.
