Porlamar
Located in the southeast of the island, it is not the official capital but Polamar is definitely considered
the commercial capital. Over the years, the area has continued to grow, and today it is known for its
shopping malls, amusement parks, casinos and vibrant night life. As Margarita is tax free, there are many
shops and malls providing a wide range of products both top of the range goods and also the more
affordable brands.
