PLACES OF INTEREST
La Désirade
Once a leper colony, La Désirade, is now a geological nature reserve with long coral reefs protecting palm
fringed beaches where swimming, snorkeling and diving is a popular pursuit. The island’s tiny village,
Grande Montagne, offers some spectacular sea views as does the trail at Le Morne du Souffleur. Not far
away are the two uninhabited islands of Petite-Terre, known for their biodiversity.
