This is a celebration and display of
Caribbean cinematography.
FEBRUARY
Carnival Celebrations
... culminates with a large carnival parade in
Basse Terre and the other cities consisting
of music, colourful costumed masqueraders,
floats and marching bands. During this
event, an effigy of the King of Carnival,
Vaval, is burnt and thrown into the sea,
marking the official end of the Carnival
season.
