Sandy Island
The only way to get to this deserted island is by boat. Located to the west of Carriacou,
it is a protected area, with a no-fishing policy and zero tolerance for harvesting of
turtle eggs. This small island however, provides great snorkeling with many different
varieties of fish and marine life in its reefs offshore. Take a water taxi and spend a day
on the island. They will drop you off and pick you up at an arranged time. You can swim
and just enjoy the pristine surroundings.
