The Southwest
This region has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. Between Barahona and the Haitian
border, there is a mountainous coastal road that provides visitors with jaw-dropping scenery and opportunities
for fantastic adventures. Inland from the road, there are sights ranging from a salt water lake in a desert to
seemingly endless clouds of forest. A visitor will have lots to admire and lots to do in this region.
