SAVE THE DATE [ May 2nd-6th 2018 ] The name “Batabano” is linked to the islands turtling heritage. As the sea turtles crawl to the beach to nest, their movement leave tracks on the sand. Batabano refers to the sea turtle tracks, which are celebrated, when they’re found. Hence the carnival celebrations - the Carnival Batabano. Carnival Batabano was launched in 1983 by the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman. There is a Junior Batabano and an Adult Batabano, both filled with energized masqueraders, colourful parades, and pulsating music, all within a safe, family-friendly, fun-filled environment.
