About her fitness routine About her diet
I cycle 5 days a week and twice on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. In the mornings, I’m up at 4:30am and
out of the house by 5:00am. Depending on the
upcoming event, my routine varies. But generally, I
ride anywhere between 14-17 hours for the week.
Getting in some distance training, intervals, sprint
intervals, speed and of course racing with the
men; that’s my favourite part. On Mondays and
Wednesdays in the evenings after I teach my fitness
class, I do a short 20-30 minutes abdominal session
in my living room. I like feeling healthy, but I also
like looking the part too. I would follow a rigorous diet when I’m 3 weeks
away from major competition; following a diet plan
from my nutritionist. Apart from that, I basically eat
what I want. I don’t indulge too much in the fried
stuff and the sugary stuff, I think I eat pretty healthy
for the most part. I’m lucky to have a mother who
eats very healthy and tries to encourage everyone
around her to do the same. So every morning
when I return from my ride, I have a healthy shake
or smoothie waiting for me. She is a vegetarian so
she always has her own food prepared. I’d steal her
goodies and just add meat to it .
