A major ceremonial site built on a natural limestone ridge during the Classic Period , it is composed of six major plazas , with more than twenty-five Maya temples and palaces . Well worth the trip and you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding area .

San Ignacio is located on the Macal River in Central Belize and people converge in the market to sell their products and to shop . Amidst the lovely array of colours , the cacophony of voices and aroma of food being cooked right before you , this is a great way to spend a Saturday morning .
