Of course the beach has to be a staple . A visitor also should see historic Bridgetown and its Garrison . Bridgetown is our main city so you can just go and take in the atmosphere , but tours are available if you want to learn more about its history .
It would also be good to experience our countryside . We have a range of attractions from horseback riding at Ocean Echo Stables to Tie-dye workshops and calabash carving at the Calabash Garden Studios .
As a vegetarian , I would recommend The Good Life for lunch , however , for a more traditional Bajan meal , I have heard that Brown Sugar is a good bet with rice and stew , macaroni pie and cou-cou served on the menu .
Oistins on a Friday night is also a must-do for the after hours festivities , fried fish and entertainment . Speaking of after hours , a visitor should experience a good Bajan fete before leaving the island and , they will not have to look very far to find one as there is always a party happening in Barbados .
