In a deep valley , surrounded by mountains , you ’ ll find the capital city of Saba , The Bottom . It is the largest town on the island and home to approximately 500 people , a few restaurants , Government offices , the Saba School of Medicine , and the library . One of the things you ’ ll quickly notice at The Bottom is that all the houses are white with red roof , which gives a consistent , uniform look throughout the town . While walking through the streets , you may encounter a goat or chicken strolling idly along , adding to the quaintness of this beautiful town . There is no need to rush here . Its serenity is theraupetic and its surroundings almost ethereal . Stay a while .
