This beach is located in the north east of Margarita Island with calm waters nestled in quiet surroundings . Manzanillo is a fishing village so you ’ ll see fishing boats in the bay and may even witness fishermen pulling in ther nets with their catch . There are also restaurants in the area serving delicious seafood .

Castillo de Santa Rosa
This castle was built in the 17th century with a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings . Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi , a heroine of the Venezuelan War of Independence , was imprisoned in the castle in 1816 and gave birth in its dungeon but the baby died due to the prison conditions .
