In addition to sports , what are your other interests ? I have a series of business interests from my restaurant , to an Insole Company , Enertor and my shaving company , Champion Shave . Outside of business I spend a lot of time with my Foundation giving back to my community and children .
Tell us about the Usain Bolt Foundation and the causes your Foundation supports . The Usain Bolt Foundation is dedicated to the legacy for happy children . It seeks to enhance the character of children through educational and cultural development , as they live their dreams .
Where in Jamaica did you grow up ? I grew up in the rural area of Sherwood Content in Jamaica . I enjoyed picking fruits off trees and playing football and cricket outside . I visited the river a lot with my friends and did a lot of outdoor cooking .
You are blessed to have been born in one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean , lush , scenic with a vibrant social scene and of course , reggae music . With so many “ fun ” options , what is your favourite thing to do in Jamaica during your down time ? I enjoy playing domino and driving to my hometown to relax with my family . Nothing beats a home-cooked meal of pork , jerk chicken , oxtail , curry goat , roast breadfruit and rice & peas .
How will you describe your homeland Jamaica ? The ONLY PLACE I could live . The weather is warm , the people are friendly and the food is yummy !
