Jade says about her island . . .
Grenada is a tri-island state , comprising of Grenada , Carriacou and Petite Martinique .
On the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique , visitors can look forward to experiencing the great outdoor life , beautiful beaches and indulge in relaxation time .
On mainland Grenada , visits can be made to some of our old plantation houses and our National Museum where you get to learn more about the history of Grenada .
You can take a trip to our fish markets and hangout with the local fishermen and women .
Enjoy the many hiking trails , sulphur springs , waterfalls , lakes and dive at our underwater sculpture park .
A visit to the rum factories and , since we are known as the Isle of Spice , a trip to the vendors market is perfect for purchasing all the local spices such as cinnamon , bay leaf and nutmeg , just to name a few .
For a real Island-Feel I would suggest spending the day on the beach while having a cook-up of Grenada ’ s national dish “ Oil Down ”, then end your day enjoying the beautiful sunset .
