JANUARY 14 The Bonaire Maritime Film Festival
This event is organized by the Bonaire Maritime Heritage Foundation as a fundraiser for the restoration of Stormvogel , the last of the sailing cargo ships of the ABC Islands . Films include Stormvogel Rising , a short about the boat ’ s rebirth and Vanishing Sail , an award-winning documentary that focuses on traditional boatbuilding on the island of Carriacou .

Cultural Market This event takes place the last Saturday of every month . Local arts , crafts , plants , vegetables , educational presentations , live bands and delicious food .
FEBRUARY 26 Carnival Grand Parade Kralendijk
The Grand Parade is the biggest parade of the Carnival season held on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday . Music , spectacular costumes and floats .
FEBRUARY 27 & 28
Carnival Monday & Tuesday Parades mark the end of the island ’ s Carnival season culminating at the Kralendijk Staduim where they burn an effigy of the Carnival King “ King Momito ”.
MARCH Cultural Market This event takes place the last Saturday of every month . Local arts , crafts , plants , vegetables , educational presentations , live bands and delicious food .
