PLACES OF INTEREST National Environment Center Conch Bar Caves National Park With over 2.4 kms of underground caverns, Conch Bar Caves is one of the longest cave networks in the Caribbean. Visitors can explore the diff erent chambers which contain impressive stalactites, stalagmites and bat colonies. It is located on Middle Caicos near the village of Conch Bar. In the caves you will fi nd bits of history dating back to pre-Columbus times. It is open Monday-Friday: 9:00am-3:00pm with a $20 entry fee. Both adults and children will appreciate a visit to the National Environment Center. Its location makes it easy to visit if only for a few minutes and admission is free. Located adjacent to the central Children’s Park Bight Beach access, learning about the islands ecosystems, fl ora, fauna and indigenous wildlife can be fun especially when the presentation is engaging.
