PLACES OF INTEREST
STORE BAY
Store Bay, the island’s most popular beach is perfect for snorkeling and swimming. It is conveniently
located just a few minutes from the airport and excursions to the well-known Buccoo Reef and Nylon
Pool originate here, making Store Bay a busy place. Visitors can rent beach umbrellas and chairs, there’s
sumptuous local food like curried crab and dumplings sold by local vendors, beverages, local snacks,
art and craft. The atmosphere is friendly, safe and fun - some happily describe it as a tiny slice of heaven.
STONEHAVEN BAY
Black volcanic rocks dot golden sands at Stonehaven Bay in Tobago’s southwest. Sunbathers,
snorkelers and kayakers frequent this beach. Visitors do like lazing around on the sand but due to
strong rip currents and no lifeguard, swimming should be undertaken cautiously. During March
and August, leatherback turtles come here to nest. If you’re a turtle-watcher and are interested
in observing them as they lay their eggs, speak with your hotel and they will connect you with a
guide or with the Save Our Sea Turtles Tobago Organization.

island’s sea turtles through research and education.
