Entry to the Botanical
Garden is by a $6 permit
which should be available
from your hotel.
If you are fortunate enough to be visiting the island on the 16th November
you can experience the island’s Statia Day celebrations. The day is celebrated
with parties and offi cially remembering their past with special attention
being paid to the year 1776 when St. Eustatius was the fi rst country to
recognize America’s independence. As well as parties, parades and various
sporting events also take place on this memorable day.
