Grand Canyon Dive Site
Lynch Beach
Lynch Bay Beach is located 1.8 miles north of Oranjestad . Due to the strong undercurrents it is not
suitable for swimming but relaxed sunbathing can be enjoyed and its sheltered, fi ne brown sand
makes it an excellent place for romantic getaways.
The diving on St. Eustatius is considered to be some of the best in the Caribbean. You can dive year-
round in waters that range from 79-82°F (26-28°C). A favourite site is the Grand Canyon where divers
drift on the currents through the canyon giving them the impression that they are fl ying. The sides
of this dive site are covered in black coral which attracts a variety of marine life such as jackknife fi sh,
sharks and eagle rays.
