Lorient
Lorient is one of the oldest neighborhoods on
the island, and according to certain sources, the
cradle of its Catholicism. The church, destroyed
several times by hurricanes, looks out over the
picturesque cemetery near the beach, and also
hosts concerts during the St Barth Music Festival
in January. The beach is popular with families, as
well numerous surfers who consider this one of
the best spots to hang ten on the island.
