Margarita Island’s main attractions are its
beaches and each one provides a diff erent
experience. Among the most popular are:
Parguito Beach - Busy year-round with
surfi ng enthusiasts. Surf boards can be rented
from stores around the beach. It’s a beautiful
landscape and a nearby hill attracts many who
go there for the amazing views and photo
opportunities.
El Yaque Beach - It’s windy here and
therefore perfect for windsurfi ng and
kitesurfi ng. It is located close to the airport.
You’ll fi nd surfi ng schools here, hotels as well as
restaurants on this well-known beach.
El Agua Beach - This 2 kilometer beach is
considered to be one of the most beautiful
on the island. Palm trees and silky sand
lure visitors and with a range of hotels and
restaurants in the area, one can enjoy a lovely
vacation right here.
Playa Manzanillo - the most popular and
maybe the most well-known on the island,
attracting Porlamar visitors who can easily
get there in 25 minutes by car or by public
transportation. Manzanillo is itself a quiet
fi shing town but the beauty of its beach and
friendliness of its people makes it an enjoyable
experience. There are restaurants here where
you can fi nd seafood meals at reasonable
prices.
Puerto Cruz Beach - secluded, quiet and a
great location for a picnic. You won’t fi nd many
restaurants here but it is the ideal location to
hang out with friends. Hotel Dunes is nearby.
