He is at the head of the writing

I-S essay magazine, a global
Creole culture platform which
released its second issue last
December. He leads workshops
in libraries and schools to assist
young people who wish to

the novel: Je vivrai d’amour
pour toi… To Evains, there are at least two Haitis. Port-au-Prince, the capital, is one, and the rest of the country
is another.
His publications are

Other interests He likes
to say, "I'm a writer who is
engaged in public functions."
Evains works for the Human
Resources Department of the
Ministry of Public Health and
Population. He is involved with
mobile clinics for healthcare
programs in the countryside.
But his main interest are his
family and the youth living in
Jérémie. He works with young
people to help them discover
the unprecedented wealth
reading brings and the source of
inspiration it provides for living
better with each other, and with
nature.
For the visitor to discover what is called the soul of Haiti, attending a Voodoo ceremony, a peasant
ball or a Rara exhibition during Holy Week in the city of Beaumont (Grande-Anse area – deep South)
is a must. And, last but not least, the City of Poets, Evains’ hometown, Jérémie is also a national
patrimony for its architectural wealth and the Grande-Anse area which is the most preserved of the
country. “Jérémie is Haiti’s little emerald of hope,” Evains said.
