La Soufrière Volcano

Standing at 1467 metres, La Soufriere volcano is the highest peak in Guadeloupe and attracts
many hikers who brave the challenging 2 hour hike up to the top. Amidst the windy ascent
and lingering smell of sulfur in the air, getting to the top is a great reward. A picnic area with
tables allows you to relax and if it is a clear day, the views will be an added bonus. Then the
2 hour trek down hill begins.
