A cable car ride to the top of Mount Isabel de Torres
just outside of Puerto Plata will reward you with
amazingly scenic views of the town and coastline.
At the mountain’s peak, there is a huge statue of
Christ. Be prepared to engage with vendors who
set up shop at the foot of the statue, determined
to have you leave with something to remind you of
time spent at the summit.
