“There are many fantastic
Caribbean artists I think I can
add value to, but my journey
has just begun. I’m optimistic
about the future.” ~ Krishna

About when he got started
in the music industry: I got
started in the music industry at
around age 15 professionally
as a DEEJAY at the beginning
because I guess it was an easier
avenue to get into music.
Eventually I branched out into
production because I was always
fascinated with the whole
science of putting the music
together and designing sound.
About his recent production
of the Bouyon-influenced
2019 soca hit, “Famalay”
Working on the song Famalay
with these 3 soca greats, Machel
Montano and Bunji Garlin of
Trinidad and Tobago and
Skinny Fabulous of St. Vincent
and the Grenadines has been
a great experience for me but
I had to put aside the feeling
of excitement and focus on
the project because what was
required of me was nothing but
excellence. My favorite memory
from the project was the day
the song became #1 on iTunes.
This is a major achievement for
not just me but all the parties
involved in this masterpiece.
About Bouyon Music:
Bouyon Music originally is and
I quote " The modernization of
Dominica's cultural rhythm" .
Bouyon-Soca is basically a hybrid
or crossover/collaboration of the
two Caribbean musical styles.
About some of the other
artistes he has worked with:
I have worked with a number
of artistes across the region,
most notably, Problem Child of
St. Vincent who won the Road
March for Vincy Mass 2017 with
Never Bow. Fireman Hooper,
the 2014 Vincy Groovy Soca
Monarch winner with Rum
Meeting and 2017 Power Soca
Monarch with song entitled Wild
from the Zaboca Riddim. I've
also produced the Bouyon Soca
riddim called Loud Riddim in
2015 with popular contributions
such as Oh Gosh by Azaryah
(formerly Flipo) from Trinidad &
Tobago. This riddim also features
Valene Nedd In My Dreams and
Grenada’s Skinny Banton Ready
To Chip, In 2016, the Loud
Riddim project was nominated
for Best Rhythm compilation at
the International Soca Awards.
Also in the catalog are hits by
Fadda Fox Good ole Days from
2017 and Unfair Games by Lil
Bits.
About one memorable
musical project: Every project
is in essence, its own journey
and therefore has its own
experiences. There are a lot of
memorable moments in every
project but this current Famalay
experience has taken everything
to a next level.
About what to look forward
to from him in 2019: Famalay
is the first of many massive
projects to be released. I am
currently working on material
with some of the Caribbean’s
finest talent from all of the major
markets, such as Grenada, St
Vincent, Barbados, St Lucia,
Antigua and Jamaica.
About his non-musical
interests: Philosophy,
Psychology and Finance.
About his Dominica: Dominica is one of the most beautiful islands there is. It is safe with little to no
crime and people are warm and friendly. In my opinion, for an island with 70 000 people, Dominica has
some of the most beautiful women in the entire world.
We are pretty much back to normal after the Hurricane - all of the major tourism sites and attractions are
open.
Dominica hosts one of the Caribbean’s premiere music festivals, the World Creole Music Festival which
will be held on October 25 - 27 2019. Come on down!
