PLACES OF INTEREST
Soufriere Sulphur Springs
Located in the Soufriere Valley, two streams drain the area, one of which has been redirected into four
man-made pools providing mineral baths. Locals will sometimes drink small amounts of the water as
it is believed to be a natural cleanser. The Springs also attract many visitors. An Information Centre
with change rooms and picnic shelters are available for the convenience of those who come here to
enjoy this eco-tourism site.
Sari-Sari Waterfall
This waterfall has no idyllic pool
at its bottom in which to laze, but
many visitors consider the somewhat
unusual but not too arduous trek
to get to it, well worth it. Over half
of this exciting trek to this waterfall
is through a river where you’ll be
manoeuvring your way over and
around the rocks that are strewn
along the route. Although a guide is
not necessary one is recommended
especially after heavy rains when the
river can be prone to fl ash fl oods.
