Flamingo Sanctuary
Bonaire’s Flamingo Sanctuary is situated in the salt pans at the southern
part of the island. It is off limits to visitors but armed with binoculars
many go to the Willemstoren Lighthouse and Pink Beach to watch these
beautiful birds. Over ten thousand of these magnifi cent creatures live in
this natural habitat in the company of osprey, cormorants, heron, frigate
and other marine birds.
