1000 Steps
Is it really 1,000 steps to
this quiet beach beautifully
encased within limestone
cliffs? The downward
journey does seem long
hence its name, but it is
actually a 67 step descent
to powdery-white sand and
warm clear water, perfect
for diving and snorkeling.
Located north of Kralendijk,
this area is considered to be
one of the more popular dive
sites on Bonaire.
Bonefishing on Bonaire
Bonefishing enthusiasts will find Bonaire to be a great
place for this sport. It is catch and release and advisable
to be done with a local guide as marine conservation
laws are very strict. A day bonefishing will be a splendid
opportunity to observe the island’s beautiful pink
flamingos in their nesting areas, brown pelicans, white
herons, frigate birds and also green turtles, which all
reside within the Bonaire National Marine Park.
