Maskanoo
In Providales, this street festival is held on Boxing Day each year. Locals and tourists
are treated to music, great food, live entertainment and colourful parades. Like
the Junkanoo Festival held in the Bahamas, the Muskanoo is also a celebration of
the island’s African heritage. An authentic cultural event, with traditional drums,
cowbells, costumes and a general festive atmosphere, Muskanoo is indeed a true
island experience.
