About her background About her flair for design
I was born and raised in St Kitts by a single
parent-mother who sewed. Watching her sew
piqued my interest and I started to follow her
and did everything she did from measuring
to sewing on the machine. With my mother as
my role model, this inspired me to be a home-
body and I don’t regret it one bit. I have always had a flair for design. It started
with doll clothes, then my clothes.
About when she designed her first
outfit
When I was about 8 years of age, on a Sunday
morning, I designed and sewed a green
outfit to wear to Sunday School the following
afternoon. The outfit consisted of a skirt, a
blouse and a waistcoat. I was very proud of
myself and my confidence was built that very
day.
About her design inspirations
My designs just come to me. Sometimes I
would be sitting there or taking a walk and
a design would just hit me. I design for men,
women and now children. I also design
accessories such as clutches, earrings and
necklaces.
About fashion shows
In 2013/2014, I participated in the CUFW
(Cameron University Fashion Week) Lawton, Oklahoma
2014/2015 Culturama Fashion Show, Nevis
2015 - Ocean Runway, Barbados
2015/2016 - Renaissance Fashion Show, St Kitts
