Fort Gustav
This fort was built in 1787 and named after King Gustav III of Sweden. This was done when the
island was under Swedish control and it was one three forts built to protect the harbour. Today,
all that’s left are old cannons, ruins of buildings and a lighthouse, which works! A trip up to the
fort will give you breath-taking views of the harbour and the city.
