Heritage
VILLAGE
Houses that existed during each era of
Nevisian history has been recreated at the
Heritage Village. The houses are accompanied
by artefacts from each era it represents.
From the Caribs, to slavery to emancipation
then colonialism, it is all perfectly displayed
in this well-presented out-door museum.
Located on the eastern side of the island on
Fothergills Estate, a 15 minute drive from the
capital Charlestown will bring you to this
place which is a definite must-visit when
on Nevis. What was once a thriving sugar
plantation and cotton ginning station now
houses a unique display of Nevisian history.
