A free port in the north of Margarita, many people
travel to this city to shop. It is said the city was named
after a Greek man who was shipwrecked but managed
to swim safely to land. The Juan Griego Bay is one of
the most scenic spots on the island and many go up
to the Fortin de La Galera where they can get clear
views of the Bay and at the end of the day, enjoy the
beautiful sunset.
