Cueva de las Maravillas Located between San Pedro de Macorís and La Romana, this fascinating cave system contains hundreds of well-preserved pictographs, petroglyphs and engravings from the Taino Indians who once inhabited it thousands of years before. The dwelling is easily accessible to visitors with its excellent lighting system, ramps, a footpath and a modern elevator. It is home to the most important sample of rock art and features amazing rock formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and columns.
